Wear a green ribbon to support World Mental Health Day on 10 October

To show our support for year’s World Mental Health Day, Miles & Partners has joined the Lord Mayor’s Appeal and will be participating in the Green Ribbon Campaign to help end the stigma of mental health. Rachel Turner recently attended one of the campaign events entitled ‘The Power of Diversity – Creating mentally healthy workplaces’.

At Miles & Partners we believe it is important to take a positive and proactive approach when addressing mental health issues.  ‘In the work of the mental health team, we sometimes advise families with extreme problems which might have been avoided if issues had been identified earlier or more appropriate treatment and care had been received at an earlier stage.’

We understand the importance of identifying issues early, and so removing barriers to make it easier for people to be open about mental health problems will help them take the first step to potential recovery.

On the 10th October we will be encouraging staff and professional contacts to wear a green ribbon to help raise awareness and end the stigma associated with mental health problems.

Our experienced lawyers share almost 50 years’ worth of experience in advising clients about community care, the Court of Protection and mental health.  Our work can sometimes be stressful, and so it is important that our own team feel that they can be open and rely on our support in regard to their mental health – just as they would if they suffered a physical injury.
