Expertise and experience
Sara is a solicitor in the Family department. She has a particular interest in cases which contain international elements, such as child abduction and international disputes regarding contact and residence.
Some of Sara’s recent experience includes:
- advising and agreeing arrangements for children with regards to contact, residence and holidays;
- representing parents in contested Children Act proceedings;
- representing parents in care proceedings and arrangements for children, including in situations where there are concerns in relation to; drug abuse, domestic abuse, learning difficulties, sexual abuse and non-accidental injury;
- assisting with cases involving child abduction; and
- advising the Official Solicitor in relation to care proceedings and Court of Protection proceedings.
Sara has experience working with vulnerable clients and regularly deals with cases which involve allegations of domestic abuse. She places an emphasis on taking a holistic approach, whilst ensuring that her advice is both clear and accessible.
Prior to joining Miles & Partners, Sara was a paralegal in the Court of Protection department of a City law firm. Her previous work experience also includes volunteering at Advocate and teaching English to corporate professionals in Spain.
