Expertise and experience
Robert is one of our trainee solicitors. His first seat will be in public family law, encompassing care proceedings, Rule 16.4 cases, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards applications, and Forced Marriage Prevention Orders. He will also gain experience in housing law and judicial review during his training contract. He is particularly interested in common law practice areas concerned with the central aspects of people’s lives.
Prior to joining Miles & Partners, Robert worked as a Modern Slavery Victim Care Advisor at the charity Migrant Help. He also has experience in teaching roles and as a personal care assistant.
Robert has volunteered as a Union Representative for the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union, as a caseworker and McKenzie friend at the National Centre for Domestic Violence and as an Independent Prison Monitor for HM Inspectorate of Prisons Scotland.
