Expertise and experience

Freya is one of our trainee solicitors and she will be gaining experience in housing and public law, and public and private family law during her training contract.

Prior to joining Miles and Partners, Freya worked at Samos Volunteers, a non-governmental organisation in Samos, Greece. Freya assisted in providing refugees and asylum-seekers reaching Europe with psycho-social support, educational opportunities, and a safe space. Freya also managed the Women’s Department, a safe space for women where they could access activities, education, and support from legal and medical organisations.

She also gained experience in Welfare Benefits, volunteering at Tower Hamlets Law Centre with benefit appeals. THLC provides legal support to the local community in Tower Hamlets to allow them to understand and assert their rights.

Freya has a particular interest in private and public family law, having assisted on cases representing parents and Guardians in both areas. This includes supporting vulnerable clients through the options available in situations of domestic abuse. Freya is also interested in Judicial Review.
