Celebrating David Jockelson
After years of dedicated service, Miles & Partners announces the retirement of David Jockelson, a highly respected solicitor whose work has left a lasting impact on the firm, his colleagues, and countless clients.
David joined Miles & Partners with a deep commitment to justice, compassion, and advocacy. Over the years, he became known not only for his legal expertise, particularly in family law and child protection, but also for his unwavering dedication to supporting vulnerable individuals through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
David was also asked to give evidence on behalf of care lawyers at the hearings of the Select Committee of the House of Commons in their enquiry into legal aid reforms.
At his leaving party there were many tributes. One senior judge said:
“If I were asked to provide an example of someone who has all the qualities of an excellent family lawyer, your name would be first on the list. You have always been an example of excellence in your work. Your retirement will be a big loss to the family justice system.”
Kate Hammond, Joint Managing Partner comments:
“We echo the many tributes to David’s career received from across the family law community, and extend our heartfelt thanks to David for his contribution. We wish him well for the next chapter of his career.”
Alongside his highly successful legal career, David is a trained and registered counsellor, therapist and parenting coach. He runs stress workshops for lawyers, equipping them with techniques to deal with the demanding nature of their professional life.
