Expertise and experience
Harriet is a qualified solicitor, and gained experience in family law, and mental health & mental capacity during her training contract.
She assists the other solicitors as well as conducting cases, advising and representing clients at court in certain matters.
Harriet is a keen sportswoman and has run a half marathon as well as the Great Spitalfields Pancake Day Race on behalf of the London Legal Support Trust. She also volunteers at Cocktails in Care Homes spending time with elderly people who have dementia.
Some recent experience of Harriet’s includes:
- representing children in care proceedings, applications for discharge of a care order or revocation of a placement order;
- representing parents in care proceedings;
- assisting with cases involving non-accidental injury, fictitious illness, addiction, mental health, autism and domestic violence;
- assisting in the case of a child with a terminal illness where there was a dispute over treatment.
