Expertise and experience
Kate is a housing and public law solicitor, with wide ranging experience including eviction, homelessness challenges, and the housing options available to victims of domestic abuse.
As part of a team Kate has worked on cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, and European Court of Human Rights.
Kate also has experience volunteering on benefit appeals, and providing support to litigants in person in court, including in the High Court. She applies this knowledge to her work on complex housing cases.
She trained at Miles & Partners, having gained experience in housing law, mental health and mental capacity, and family law during her training contract.
Prior to joining Miles & Partners, Kate worked as a policy adviser for the Department of Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities. She also worked for Citizen’s Advice, advising residents of Harrow, primarily on debt, housing, and benefits.
Kate is a member of the executive committee of HLPA (Housing Law Practitioners’ Association).
