Hira is a solicitor specialising in mental capacity.
Hira undertook her training contract within this firm and in addition to receiving training in the Mental Capacity Department, Hira also receiving experience in our housing department and family law department.
Hira represents mentally incapacitated adults in residential and community settings and in particular represents clients in welfare proceedings before the Court of Protection.
Hira receives instructions from litigation friends, including the Official Solicitor in Welfare Proceedings, these cases include:
- Challenges under section 21A of the Mental Capacity Act.
- Best Interest welfare proceedings under section 16 of the Mental Capacity Act, which include care, residence and contact issues.
In addition to her Court of Protection work, Hira also advises clients in relation to community issues relating to mentally incapacitated adults, and also represents family members in relation to mental capacity matters.
Hira is very empathetic with clients and has a relaxed and thorough approach to client issues.
