London Legal Walk 2014
The 10th London Legal Walk is a 10km “after work” walk led by the Lord Chief Justice and an array of legal luminaries, it has become the largest annual gathering of lawyers and the judiciary in the world. Last year over 7,500 walkers raised just over £530,000.00.
Miles & Partners are doing the London Legal walk next Monday evening 19 May to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust which funds Law Centres and pro bono agencies in and around London. We know that these agencies do a fantastic job in preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly and disabled and fighting exploitation. We also know how short they are of the funds to continue that work.
This year we are again particularly supporting Tower Hamlets Law Centre. Half of all the funds we raise will be donated by LLST to the Law Centre. The Law Centre has been extremely hard hit by cuts in both council funding and legal aid.
